The Versatile Blogger Award!!!

This award has been going around and I have to admit I am posting this later than what I would have liked.  The TO DO LIST before school starts was just tooooo long!  Thanks to Phyl @ There's a Dragon in my Art Room and Congrats to all the other dedicated ART ED Bloggers!  Let's get busy!  Hope your year is off to an amazing start!

1.  My husband Patrick is Super Amazing!  He supports me & all of my art teacher craziness!

2.  Jigsaw & Winnie are my 2 Portuguese Water Dogs - the best dogs ever!

3.  I have been on the Executive Board of the Art Educators of New Jersey for over 10 years and I am currently serving as the Past-President.

4.  This will be my 19th year teaching ART and I love it!

5.  I taught "Art on a Cart" for 6 years and have been in my beautiful ART ROOM for the past 3 - YAHOO!

NJPAC - This is AMERICA

NJPAC - This is AMERICA !!!  A perfect way to end National Art in Education Week!  One of my goals, each year, is to display as much artwork as possible outside of our school. This month and throughout the Fall, 1 piece of artwork will be on display in the lobby of the Victoria Theater at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Newark, NJ. This is a juried exhibit sponsored by the Art Educators of New Jersey, 30 pieces will be exhibited in all.  The theme for this Fall's exhibit was, "This is America" so all of the artwork goes along with that theme.   All the artwork is framed under glass and lit in true gallery style. It is quite an honor to have work exhibited in this exhibit, art educators from around the state of New Jersey submit work! The Artist's Reception will be Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 11:00 - 12:00 pm. Congratulations to Roxana (2nd grade), this is her Pledge Portrait - students learned how to draw a person with their hand across their body!
